ROV Underwater Inspection Services — New Hampshire & New England
Mountain to Coast Drone Services operates ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles) — underwater drones — for subsurface structural inspection, object recovery, and condition assessments across New Hampshire and New England. Where aerial drones can’t go, our underwater vehicles can.
What Is an ROV?
An ROV is a remotely controlled underwater vehicle equipped with cameras, lights, and sensors. Operated from the surface, ROVs inspect underwater structures, search for submerged objects, and document subsurface conditions without requiring divers — safer, faster, and more cost-effective than traditional underwater inspection methods.
ROV Inspection Applications
- Bridge and dam inspection — pier foundations, abutments, scouring assessment
- Marina and dock inspection — pilings, hull surveys, underwater structural condition
- Culvert and stormwater inspection — interior pipe condition, blockage assessment
- Object recovery — submerged vehicles, equipment, evidence, or lost items
- Water intake inspection — municipal water supply structures, screens, and pipes
- Lake and reservoir surveys — bottom mapping, debris location, vegetation surveys
- Search operations — supporting law enforcement and SAR in water searches
Aerial + ROV Combined Operations
Mountain to Coast uniquely offers both aerial UAS and ROV capabilities in a single company. For bridge inspections, we can survey above and below the waterline in one visit — delivering a complete structural picture that would otherwise require coordinating two separate vendors.
Why ROV vs. Divers
- No dive team mobilization time or cost
- Safer — no personnel in the water
- High-definition video documentation of all findings
- Operations in low visibility, fast current, and cold water
- Faster turnaround for inspection reports
